Um, HOLY CRAP I WISH I HAD A SPARE $150.

Budweiser has made and is selling red goal lights that you can install anywhere in your house, that sync up through wifi and light up and sound a goal horn any time the team of your choosing scores a goal.

That is pretty much the most awesome thing I have ever heard of as far as hockey paraphernalia goes.

Anyone *lucky* enough to get in on the facebook IPO? (The asterisks mean sarcastic tone.) If I still had money to play with in the stock market, there was no way I was going within 1000 feet of that gongshow. Something like $35 BILLION dollars evaporated by the tanking of that stock.

Several factors played a part, overpriced initial share value, too many shares released for sale and sketchy information being put out there on financials. More and more, I'm feeling like the "big investors" are literally stealing money from the "little investors". That's all the stock market is anyways, it's a redistribution of wealth. For someone to make money, someone else has to lose it.

Personally, I think facebook has already peaked and it's downhill from here. The mobile phone market is going to crush them for one. The tablet market might take a dent, but the mobile market is going to be their downfall. 900-something million users... that's a lot of weight to lug around. How many of them started their facebook accounts on a desktop computer? How many of those went to laptops? Then tablets and mobile devices? It's only a matter of time until the laptop goes the way of the desktop.

How many people of those 900-something million are sick of facebook? How many are annoyed by their security and privacy settings? I wish there was an alternative (sorry Ken, not a huge fan of G+ either) so I could deactivate my FB account. The problem is, even if I deactivate my FB account, all my information is saved on their servers. I can't truly delete anything. That bothers me. The other problem is that basically everyone I know is on FB. If I leave, I lose "easy" contact with them. Maybe that's why FB is able to keep growing. Unless everyone leaves, no one will leave?

I'd be interested to hear others thoughts on this.

1. Toews - is there a better captain? does it all. would have been Hart candidate had he not missed 20+ games
2. Spezza - his skill and vision is remarkable. has put the team on his back.
3. Callahan - unreal two way player. leader by example. likes to get dirty. plays with a chip on his shoulder. puts puck in net.
4. Sharp - see above
5. EK65 - wow. honestly, have you seen him skate? kid is legit. vision and skating ability separate him from the field.

I like Bergeron personally. He leads the league in both +/- and faceoff percentage. So who do you think it is going to be, and who do you think it should be (two different things)?

The front runners would appear to be Henrik Lundqvist, Pekka Rinne, and Jonathan Quick but Brian Elliot and Mike Smith should get some serious consideration too, and the past couple days I have heard Mark Andre Fleury's name thrown out more than once.

To me it is Lundqvist hands down, and that's who I think will actually win it as well. He has been fantastic all season long, and is a big reason, if not the MAIN reason that the Rangers are sitting in first in the east instead of fighting for a playoff spot as many were predicting at the beginning of the season.

This year is a perfect example of why the 1,2,3 seeds automatically going to the division leaders is downright stupid. I have no problem with division leaders being guaranteed a playoff spot, but they should be seeded where their points put them.

Take a look at the east for example. The three best teams are the Rangers, Penguins, and Flyers, in that order. However, because Boston and Florida get the 2, and 3 spots, Philly and Pittsburgh get shuffled down to the 4-5 spots and end up facing each other in the first round. Pittsburgh has 104 points, they should be in second, and facing either Florida or Washington, but instead, they face the third best team in the entire conference. That's dumb.

Likewise in the west. Nashville in my mind has earned the right to face Phoenix or LA in the first round, but instead they have Detroit.

The end result is that you have BETTER teams, no ifs ands or buts about it, getting knocked out in the first round GUARANTEED. Now if a lower seed takes out a higher seed, that's great, they earn it. But the system shouldn't guarantee a better team getting knocked out simply because two better teams are forced to face each other and there has to be one winner.

Saw this on Twitter today. Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so...

"Since Sam Gagner had his 8 point game (Feb 2) & followed it with 3 points (Feb 4), he has scored 6 goals & added 7 assists in 28 games."
--Craig Button

I still think he can be a viable 3rd line Center but that's about it. Not saying he's not a decent player, just saying he isn't a top line center like all you guys said he was.

Just my opinion.
